| Resume Jane Paradise is a San Francisco and Cape Cod based photograpic artist. She has exhibited in invitational and juried shows in Dublin Ireland, Daytona Florida, Houston Texas, San Francisco California, Provincetown Massachusetts, Minneapolis Minnesota and Middlebury Vermont. Her prints are in the collection of the Southeast Museum of Photography and many private collections. In 2011 she was chosen as one of 35 artists in the New England Photo Biennial at the Danforth Museum of Art. Also in 2011, she was awarded a Gold in the Worldwide Gala for Portraits and second prize for Editorial and Current Affairs. In 2010 she was a finalist in the "Olympics of People Watching" at the Mission Cultural Center in San Francisco and the New England Artist (NEO) of the month at the Photographic Resource Center in Boston. She was the runner-up in the 2006 Environmental Photography Invitational in the Environment at Risk category. She won three honorable mentions in the 2005 Lucie (International Photography Awards) contest: Fine Art Nude category, Editorial Personality category and in the Fine Art Landscape category. Publishing credits include frontispiece for The Magic Tower and other Plays, Boston Globe, Proviincetown Banner, Tennessee Williams Festival program, Sailing World magazine, The Newsletter for San Francisco City Guides, Latitude 38, San Francisco South Beach Yacht Club Cookbook, The Log, 2006 Port of San Francisco Maritime Calendar, Mountain Travel Sobek catalog, and the International Museum of Women newsletter. She is a Trustee of the Provincetown Art Association and Musuem (PAAM) and former advisory Board member of the former San Francisco Fotovision non-profit organization. |
